Naturpark Kaunergrat is as unique as the plants and animals that live here. Species such as the Apollo butterfly (Parnassius apollo) are just as rare as the Bengal tiger in other parts of the world. As with the tiger, it is worth protecting both these species and their habitats. We are part of nature — together, we can protect and preserve it.
